Ausstellung "Edvard Munch.Angst"

General admission / Reduced admission / Children and young people / Family tickets

Only time slot tickets can be purchased for the “Edvard Munch.Angst” exhibition.

Reduced admission is available for:

Students

Volunteers in the Federal Volunteer Service

People with disabilities (degree of disability at least 50 per cent)

Holders of the Saxon Volunteer Card

Free tickets according to the fee schedule

e.g.

Children and young people, as well as students up to the age of 18

ICOM member

students TU Chemnitz

Please have the relevant proof of eligibility ready for your museum visit.

For the “Edvard Munch.Angst” exhibition in the period from 10.08. - 02.11.2025, only time slot tickets can be purchased in the online shop. These are valid for one visit.

If you purchase a ticket for a public tour, you can visit the exhibitions in the Kunstsammlungen am Theaterplatz on the booked day.

Time slots begin every half hour from the museum's opening. These time slots are valid for 30 minutes; please ensure you start your visit within the booked time slot (e.g., 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.). There is no time limit on your visit during opening hours.

You may have to queue even though you bought your ticket online. Please note that this applies especially for tickets for the Karl Schmidt-Rottluff Haus and the Capital of Culture exhibitions.

Once purchased, tickets cannot be cancelled or rebooked. Tickets can be obtained from the online shop approx. 4 weeks in advance. Other ticket types can be purchased at the museum ticket offices.

Free tickets can only be booked for children and young people as well as schoolchildren up to the age of 18 in conjunction with a reduced or general admission ticket or within the family ticket.

Reduced admission: If you have purchased a reduced admission ticket, please have the corresponding proof of entitlement ready for inspection at the museum entrance.

Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged or cancelled. Refunds cannot be given in cases of force majeure, such as problems with public transport or in the event that you are prevented from visiting due to personal circumstances. Please read the Terms and Conditions before booking.

How do I book a ticket?

To purchase a ticket online, you will need a valid email address.

Please select the desired day and tickets in the overview below.

Vouchers cannot be redeemed in the online shop.

To conclude your booking, please confirm the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy in the shopping basket.

You will then be redirected to the payment service. Please allow a moment for this. Payment can be made by credit card (Mastercard or Visa) and PayPal.

You will receive your tickets by email. Please also check your spam folder!

You do not have to print out the tickets; these can also be presented on your smartphone/tablet.
